Choosing What Defines You

"Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain."

Psalms 127:1

Daily Devotion

Mark 4:35-41

“On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.” And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith? And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?””

  • Notice the tie of fear to lack of faith. If you have accepted Christ as your Savior there is never a reason to fear. Fear is always a result of a lack of faith. Death, illness, money, other people, the future, the past, and uncertainty, are all things that people fear. If we give every fear to Jesus, we can live in peace. Jesus said, “Let us go across to the other side”. If Jesus says that you are going to the other side, there will not be a storm that keeps that journey from happening. Jesus has promised all His followers that we will be together on the “other side” of this life. If Jesus said it would happen, it will happen. May we renew our faith in Him today. When Jesus is Lord, fear has no place in our lives.
  • Have the storms in life made you doubt His Word?
  • How reliable is the one you are traveling with and how much do you trust His guidance?

Priority Thoughts

Are your priorities valid?

Always have a reason for the priorities you have established in your life. If there is no heartfelt reason, you will not commit to the effort required for success.

Our Values

We will be above reproach in our character and ethics.

We will conduct all business in truth with openness and transparency.

We will be accountable to all for our actions and our finances.

We will treat all people groups, communities, and cultures with total respect.

We will maintain positive and joyful attitudes in all interactions.

We will be open to creativity and change as strive to serve others.

Ministry Focus Areas

When a Christian establishes and abides by priorities that are founded on instructions from the word of God, they will be able to live an abundant life free from worry and anxiety.

Employees who have a positive direction and purpose in their personal lives have always been, and will always be, a greater asset to their employers and a positive influence on their co-workers.

When the priorities of people who are serving others are in order, it will be possible for them to focus on the needs of those they are serving. Inner peace and value must exist in the one who serves before it can be transferred to the one being served.

"...but seek first the kingdom of GOD and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

We’ll help you get your priorities right!
