1 John 2:20-25

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—eternal life.”

  • Most of us have been taught about Jesus, His sacrifice on the cross as an atonement for our sins, and His resurrection which assures our eternal life. We cannot forget that outside of Jesus we have no hope! We must make Jesus and His instructions for living our number one priority in life. While most people acknowledge God, not all of them have answered the question of what they will do with respect to making Jesus their Lord and Savior. The Bible is clear that if you do not have Jesus you do not have God! There are many religions but one Truth! Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.”.  Jesus is our hope and our peace and our salvation! Jesus plus anything else does not equal salvation! Salvation is Jesus and only Jesus!
  • If He died for us, should not we live for Him?
  • Not acknowledging Jesus is the same as denying Him.
  • You are loved but you are not promised tomorrow! Choose this day who you will follow!

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

 Romans 5:8 “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

1 John 2:25 “And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.”

Isaiah 5:11-12

“Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them. They have lyre and harp, tambourine and flute and wine at their feasts, but they do not regard the deeds of the Lord, or see the work of his hands.”
