“One of the servants answered, “I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.””
- Being brave, speaking well, and being fine-looking, were all good traits, but what set David apart was the fact that the Lord was with him. Notice that David is not describing himself, but he is being described by someone else.
- As you look at your traits, is one of them that the Lord is with you?
- How would someone else describe you?
- Would others describe you as someone who the Lord is with?
Acts 4:29 “Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.”
