“Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
- Most of us will claim that we are serving the Lord, and we will make that claim each time that we are asked. My question is: If we are serving Christ, how many times during the day do we even think about Him? Obedience to this command will give your home and your workplace a whole new look. Imagine a home and work atmosphere that contained no arguing, complaining, backbiting, or pride. There is no excuse for a follower of Christ to be a bad employee, or to maintain a bad attitude.
- If we truly do everything as if we are working for the Lord, why are we not pleased to be in that position?
- How much of you work do you perform with the thought of pleasing Christ?
- Will your work today be a begrudging task with no purpose?
