Galatians 2:19-21

“For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

  • Relying on our goodness is not enough, because the reality is, that we are not that good! Christ gave His life for us because our goodness has many flaws! When we sin, even though we are Christians, we often feel as though we have lost God’s grace! We feel unclean and defeated! While we should feel convicted, we should never feel defeated or condemned! Our conviction should drive us to confession, repentance, and restoration, into fellowship with God! If we continue in the defeat of sin, we have set aside God’s grace, and are relying on our own power to conquer the sin, that in ourselves, we have no power over! His mercy and grace are our salvation, eternity, and peace! HE IS ENOUGH! May we choose to be crucified of ourselves and to live for Him, and by faith in Him, always.
  • Placing your faith in Christ is not a onetime event you did some time ago. It is a lifestyle you commit to everyday in every situation. When you live by faith in Jesus, you are never living alone! If Christ truly lives in you, you should be walking daily in victory, and never in defeat! Think about the fact that THE POWER over sin, over death, and over hell, dwells in you! Do not live for yourself, or by yourself! Live in THE VICTORY that is in you! PRAISE THE FATHER! PRAISE THE SON!  Be crucified daily! Live by faith in Jesus daily! Your testimony should be recent and living, not a decision you made years ago! The life you live is evidence of your commitment to Christ! There is no such thing as a partial commitment! Let your focus and your intentional living be in Christ! Direct your thoughts so that your heart will be pure!
  • Would you consider yourself as one who “lives by faith in the Son of God”?
  •  What would those who are around you the most say about your faith?

Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Dear Lord, please give us the strength to be steadfast in faithfully living with You in control! May we understand that we can rest in Your power, and that you will never leave us or forsake us. Forgive us for the many times we have put our selfish desires above the submissive and fulfilling life you desire. Please protect us from the ever-present evil in this world, and guide us to be a “light in the darkness”, for Your glory. May You be glorified in our lives!  Amen

Isaiah 5:11-12

“Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them. They have lyre and harp, tambourine and flute and wine at their feasts, but they do not regard the deeds of the Lord, or see the work of his hands.”

Isaiah 3:9

“For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them. For they have brought evil on themselves.” Acts 6:15 “And gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was like the face of an angel.”

Isaiah 1:18-20

“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” 1 John 1:6-7 “If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Isaiah 1:5-6

“Why will you still be struck down? Why will you continue to rebel? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but bruises and sores and raw wounds; they are not pressed out or bound up or softened with oil.” James 4:10 “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Romans 8:1-2 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
