“But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
- We have all disobeyed God and tried to hide from Him. Others may lead us astray, but the choice to sin is ours. No matter if we initiated the sin, or just joined in, we are guilty. Our sins are known by God, yet He provided a way to wipe them clean, through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. If we turn from our sin, and commit our life to Christ, His death on the cross, and resurrection from the grave, covers our sin, and the penalty is paid. If we choose not to accept Christ’s gift, we will suffer for our sins forever. Choose Jesus. A relationship with Him is our only hope. Get to know Him if you have not yet done so.
- Who do you blame for the sin you have chosen, or are choosing, to commit?
John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.””
1 John 1:8-10 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”
