“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.”
• Our defeated feelings always come when we either lack knowledge, belief, or application of God’s word! Knowing God’s word is one thing, but the application of His word to our lives is what changes us! Knowing God’s Word is not what pleases Him, but He is pleased, honored, and blessed when we put our faith and trust in His Word and allow it to transform us to the likeness of Jesus! Knowledge, faith, and application of His word will always bring blessings and transformation. The more we are truly transformed to be like Christ, the more fulfilling our life will be and the more we will live in peace.
– Do you live God’s Word, or do you just know what it says?
– Do you feel blessed because of your obedience of God’s word, or do you often feel defeated?
