“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”
- Planning for tomorrow and claiming tomorrow on earth are two different things! God’s promises can be claimed but tomorrow on earth for us may not be one of them! Putting off something until tomorrow is often our disobedience today. When we do not do what we know we should, we have committed sin. We need to understand that God’s plan will not change and that He is always in control. Our goal should be to go where God leads, do what He says, and love as He loves, and we must remember that a delayed response is classified as disobedience. The most important thing not to put off until tomorrow is the call that God has placed in your heart to come to Him!
- Do you leave God out of your planning process?
- Does an uncontrollable situation shatter your faith or strengthen it?
Determine today that regardless of your situation or circumstance, you will trust God and He will always be your God!
