Proverbs 13:12

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

  • There are many professing believers who are looking forward to being with Jesus one day never realizing that Jesus is with them today if they are truly believers.

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Proverbs 13:13 “Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded.” — It is not our mere reading of God’s Word that pleases Him. If our lives are unaffected by our Bible study, we are probably leaning more toward destruction than reward!
