“Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.”
- When we seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness first, everything else will work itself out.
1 John 2:16-17 “For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”
Dear Lord, may my heart be broken for what breaks Yours and may my heart rejoice in the things that You rejoice in. Give me the wisdom to allow application to stem from the knowledge of Your word and may my whole heart be transformed as You desire and as You have instructed. I need You to teach, direct, and turn me, because on my own, I am a failure, but with You, I cannot fail. Transform me to be fully committed to You in every area of my life. Amen
