“Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy! In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! Enter not into judgment with your servant, for no one living is righteous before you.”
- We should pray for mercy because we are unrighteousness in many ways. While God continues to transform our lives because of His love for us, we often stumble in our walk. God extends mercy and grace to us even though we have done nothing on our own to deserve it. We should also pray that we can extend to others the same mercy and grace that we so deeply desire to receive, and have received, from our Father who loves us so much. God knew what our greatest sins would be, and He still offered His only Son to die in our place. Jesus received the punishment that we deserved because He loved us. May we love and forgive as we have been, and continue to be, loved and forgiven. May God be glorified in our lives.
