“Be merciful to me, my God, for my enemies are in hot pursuit; all day long they press their attack. My adversaries pursue me all day long; in their pride many are attacking me. When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
- Often it seems like the whole world is against us. We are tried and tested by people, events, assignments, and many other things each day. We never need to feel defeated during these situations because God has promised to deliver us. Only someone with faith in God and a life redeemed by Christ can understand the peace that remains during troubled times.
- Who will you put your trust in?
Psalm 62:8 “Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
James 1:2-4 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
