“Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!”
- Notice the statement “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.” When prayer brings no relief, we must search our hearts to make sure we do not have divided devotion. God may not answer our prayer in the way we want it answered but He will provide comfort when we seek Him and Him only. When we seek God only, our sins are confessed, and we are sorry and repent, then we will understand that He is “the peace that passes all understanding”. We have all given God every reason to turn His back on us and He has proven every time that nothing can separate His love from us. Praise Him for His steadfast love.
Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
