Solomon 1:4 “…. We will exult and rejoice in you; we will extol your love more than wine; rightly do they love you.”
Solomon 2:14 “…. let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.”
Solomon 3:1 “…. I sought him whom my soul loves; I sought him, but found him not.”
Solomon 3:2 “I will rise now and go about the city, in the streets and in the squares; I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but found him not. “
Solomon 4:7 “You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.”
- While “The Song of Solomon” tells the story of two lovers who are expressing their love for each other, and their desire to be in each other’s presence, it also gives an example of how much God loves us, and desires for us to love Him.
- How much do you desire to be in the presence of God?
- What are you willing to give up in your life that is taking the place of God?
- Have you allowed other people or things to take first place in your life?
- Do you love God enough to seek Him through His Word, so that you will know Him deeper?
- Are your spouse, or your children, receiving more of your attention than God is?
