“At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will punish the men who are complacent, those who say in their hearts, ‘The Lord will not do good, nor will he do ill.’“
- Complacency can be described as: being satisfied with how things are and making no effort to change them. This is a huge problem when it comes to an unbeliever or Christian who is not living a Christian life. Acknowledgement of who God is and who you are is a requirement for your salvation. Complacency will reap eternal separation from God for the non-believer and a walk outside of the fellowship of God for the believer.
- Are you complacent about your Christian walk or do you understand that the sanctification process is continual?
2 Timothy 3:1-5 “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
