John 12:42-43

“Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.”

  • We should never let what others may think of us keep us from professing Jesus as Lord in our lives. If in your life on earth you never profess Christ as Lord, salvation will not be obtained. Realize your need for Jesus, ask Him into your heart, allow Him to take control of your life, and let the world know by your words and actions that Jesus is your Lord. Declare Jesus as your Lord today and live a life of freedom and peace.
  • Who stands in the way of you openly acknowledging your faith?
  • Are you more worried about human praise and acceptance than you are about your stand for Christ?
  • Will your desire to be accepted by others keep you from being saved for eternity?

Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Isaiah 5:11-12

“Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them. They have lyre and harp, tambourine and flute and wine at their feasts, but they do not regard the deeds of the Lord, or see the work of his hands.”
