Joshua 24:21-24

“And the people said to Joshua, “No, but we will serve the Lord.” Then Joshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen the Lord, to serve him.” And they said, “We are witnesses.” He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.””

  • We are our own witnesses that we have chosen Jesus as our Lord and Savior, however, we often keep the “foreign gods” in our lives that receive more of our attention than the Lord we claim. Others may not see the things in your mind and in your heart that keep you from serving God, but God sees them, and if you are honest with yourself, you see them also. Choose this day to serve God, and adjust what needs to be adjusted in your life, so that you may serve Him well.
  • How does your walk match up with your claim?
  • Isn’t it time to remove the junk in your life, and fully commit to the Savior?
  • What is taking your time, focus, money, thoughts, or actions, that needs to be removed, or lowered on your priority list, so that you may be able to serve God fully?
