“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””
- The shade provided by a tree brings no relief from the hot sun from a distance, however, if you are under the tree when the sun comes up, you will be protected even before the sun rises. Your refuge and fortress are determined by where you choose to abide. Where you choose to place your faith determines your peace. If you place your faith in God, your “rest” will be eternal, but if your faith is placed in anything else, your “rest” will end at the time of your death. Eternal life or eternal death awaits everyone. Dwell in His shelter now and abide in His presence forever.
- Are you dwelling in God’s shelter, or relying on you own provisions and abilities? One brings peace, the other brings worry and anxiety!
- Is God your refuge and your fortress!
John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
John 11:25-26 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?””
Dear Lord, May I dwell in your shelter and abide in your shadow! Amen
